A2Z-BADGE-0002015-LifeisGood-230_zps660c38a0infatuationI: INFATUATION

Infatuation is when you think he’s as sexy as Robert Redford, as smart as Henry Kissinger, as noble as Ralph Nader, as funny as Woody Allen, and as athletic as Jimmy Conners. Love is when you realize that he’s as sexy as Woody Allen, as smart as Jimmy Connors, as funny as Ralph Nader, as athletic as Henry Kissinger and nothing like Robert Redford — but you’ll take him anyway. ~Judith Viorst, Redbook, 1975

No one can understand love who has not experienced infatuation. And no one can understand infatuation, no matter how many times he has experienced it. ~Mignon McLaughlin, The Neurotic’s Notebook, 1960

I don’t have much to add to these two. I’ve experienced both. They both are indistinguishable from each other in the early stages. But ah, they are truly two completely different animals. While yes, the infatuation is fun and exciting – in the beginning – it just doesn’t have the depth or realness to continue on for very long up against the reality of life.

Which do you like best? Infatuation? Or love?

  1. Agree here. Infatuation is that butterflies in your tummy. It’s when you cant seem to find yourself to sleep just coz you feel that reality starts to get better than just daydreaming. 🙂

Matters of the heart is always a broad and fun topic to talk about.

    Good luck here!
