X: XCTASY

A2Z-BADGE-0002015-LifeisGood-230_zps660c38a0X: XCTASY

Today’s the last double duty post. Needing ‘X’ for A to Z left me struggling with a word. I cheated (as I do each year on X, and sometimes U and V) and picked Xctasy. After all, what’s a romance blog without it?

For Tuesday Tales, the prompt this week is ‘key’. So here’s a little snippet that tries to reflect both words. (Don’t worry, we’re not going past R – and definitely not to the other rating that would work perfectly with this letter.)

Be sure to check out some other fun Tuesday Tales reading here.

**********

keyThe day couldn’t go fast enough. Customers came and went. Sally was operating on autopilot couldn’t tell you what they all talked about. Her only thoughts were of the evening ahead.

For work she’d chosen a chaste, modest outfit. Hanging in the office, for dinner afterwards, was an outfit that was decidedly not in the prim and proper line. It was time to step up her game and show off the girls. And not the ones she walked with most mornings.

When Izzy popped in to pick her up she could tell by the look on his face that she’d made the right choice. He seemed tongue tied and not as composed as usual during dinner. Normally she might have been worried that he wasn’t very talkative. But, seeing where his eyes kept straying, Sally knew that the low plunging top was going to play a key role in the evening ahead.

Dinner passed quickly. Footsies played under the table kept them both distracted. Appetites were heightened, but not for food. “Let’s go,” he finally said. Sally couldn’t leave the booth fast enough. They barely made it through the door when Izzy wrapped his arms around her and covered her with kisses, starting with her cheek and working down her neck.

 — That’s it for today. Come back next week for the next installment on Tuesday Tales and we’ll see if Sally and Izzy even make it to their planned walk.
